I invent my forms as I go with my drawings. I have my 'rules', and the mark-making is largely responsible for the resulting form. I was quite happy inventing totally new ways to represent insects and beasties - then I saw these!
I couldn't actually believe my eyes when I saw these - they are actual organisms made out of glass.
I looked at them and saw my own work! Nature plus a glass artist beat me to it.
I have seen photos of the museum in Vienna with the strange glass jellyfish which I adore - I have to go there one day to see them - but I hadn't seen anything quite like this
I don't generally have a 'must have' gene but I am actually lusting after these (metaphorically speaking, I'm not that weird).

Welcome to my blog, where I share what I have been doing during the week.
I have at last copied my nom-de-plume Binky McKee blog entries from here to their own blog, having given the illustration website an overhaul. Peace and tranquillity may resume here in the somewhat quieter nature of Heather Eliza's work, while Binky has her own rather more colourful Weekly. Please visit Binky McKee if you would like to visit!
