I had never heard of Kenneth Patchen until today, which is remarkable considering my interest in text/poetry combined with images. I came across this remarkable poet/artist at Austin Kleon ...
I finished Falling from Trees (that sounds a bit strange!) on Monday. Having completed documentation and scans, today is its big day - off to be framed at Wildgrass Studio.
![]() Two details from a drawing currently on the go. I think it is nearly finished, and it is going to be titled Falling from Trees. It measures 88 x 62cm and as usual is ink on paper. ![]() The garden. Monster or metaphor? Monster! While I was working away busily, my garden of Eden has gone and been replaced with mutant green stuff of which species I haven't a clue. I don't know if progress shots are interesting to anyone else except me ... but here's an update anyway on that one below showing what became of the newspaper - now there's a little bit of experimental text stuck down in the right hand corner.
I'll go away and stop boring everyone now. Not exactly a winter of discontent, but a summer without content ... on June 15, we lost our broadband connection, and for periods also our phone. Huge mobile phone bills and no internet.
