I can't believe I am building a log pile today.
It wasn't what I had planned, and I was a bit annoyed when a quiet day in the studio was rudely interrupted by the tractor rumbling up the track like thunder with a year's worth of logs on the trailer.
But I get into it as I go. It is almost a sculptural experience, and methodical and meditative. There is an art to making a log pile, all the logs have to be stacked so that (a) they are sound and won't collapse over the year, and (b) air has to be allowed to circulate to keep the logs dry and stop them rotting.
Welcome to my blog, where I share what I have been doing during the week.
I have at last copied my nom-de-plume Binky McKee blog entries from here to their own blog, having given the illustration website an overhaul. Peace and tranquillity may resume here in the somewhat quieter nature of Heather Eliza's work, while Binky has her own rather more colourful Weekly. Please visit Binky McKee if you would like to visit!
